Forming Wire

Forming Wire

Forming Wire is extremely versatile and available to purchase in high volumes. It can also be tailored in a number of ways to meet specific requirements. With several finishes to choose from, including, electro-polishing Quality (EPQ), additional coatings can be added to enhance forming and improve production efficiency.

Stainless Steel Profiled Wire

Stainless Steel Profiled Wire

Profiled wire, also commonly known as shaped wire begins with a stainless steel rod, always with impeccable quality. This is to ensure the finished product will always be a hundred per cent perfect. The stainless steel rod comes as a rounded material on a coil; this is then forced through a die to create the correct and required shape. With this wire comes a huge selection of standard designs along with bespoke which can be custom made using special dies. After this process, the material is then straightened and cut to length either in coils or exact measurements.

Cold Heading Wire

Cold Heading Wire

Cold Heading is the way we form wire to give it a given shape, without involving or introducing heat. The process involves striking blows to a length of wire inserted into a die. The force of the blow causes the metal to flow into a restricted cavity; this process can be harder to achieve for more complicated for different shaping processes, like for example the hexagon bolt head. For Stainless Steel cold Heading the most popular is 304 which generally has copper added to improve the manufacturing process described as 304 Cu or 1.4567 other popular grades are the 400 series;
