Corrugated Aluminium Sheet: A Growing Demand
In recent months, we have noticed growing demand for corrugated aluminium sheets and have extended our portfolio of products in response. Demand has come mainly from the construction industry for use in tanks and building claddings though there is also increased demand from HVAC and the oil & gas industries for tanks and filters.
Corrugated aluminium sheets from BS Stainless show extreme versatility and can be secured in a variety of ways, including with rivets and self-drilling (Tek) screws. Where there is sensitive insulation beneath, this needs to be protected and so aluminium bands can be used in conjunction with wing seals to achieve safe, lasting security. Aluminium is a metal with many qualities, including strong resistance to corrosion, that makes them ideal for outside use. The material is of a particularly light weight and so is easy to handle and secure. In addition, aluminium is 100% recyclable, making it the most environmentally-friendly choice for a wide range of potential applications.
Corrugated aluminium sheets are usually manufactured at a width of around 900mm in bulk quantities; small quantities are produced at a length of 2,000mm. Subject to minimum quantity allowances, other bespoke lengths can be produced as required. There are many finishing options with corrugated aluminium steel sheet from BS Stainless, including plain aluminium and stucco embossed. The sheets can be supplied painted with polyester or PVDF coating in most RAL colours.
