Chinese New Year's Eve is known as chú xī. It literally means "Year-pass Eve". Now celebrated around the world as well as many Asian countries Taiwan,Singapore,Phillippines and Malaysia most western cities have large communities that celebrate the Chinese new year. Locally to ourselves large celebrations take place in Manchester.
