Merry Christmas from BS Stainless - Reflecting on the Past and Focusing on the Future
Another exciting year for BS Stainless Ltd is drawing to a close and all staff are looking forward to a Christmas break spent with friends and family. December is a time for reflection on the events of the previous year and also for planning ahead, creating fresh connections and moving into the future.
2012 has seen many changes in stainless steel prices, with some all-time records being set. BS Stainless has continued to provide high-quality products at the most competitive prices to our diverse and extensive network of global customers: our growth in the market for stainless steel wire was particularly successful, resulting in BS Stainless becoming a market leader in the UK for this versatile product.
Representatives from BS Stainless team visited and exhibited at several shows this year. The biennial Wire 2012 trade fair took place in March in Dusseldorf, Germany, and attracted over 30,000 international experts, specialist and global market leaders from stainless steel and related industries. Focused on showcasing the leading innovations, services, products and techniques, this important gathering gave BS Stainless the chance to share information and use it to bring our customers the most up-to-date technology available. Also this year was the Gastech conference which took place at ExCel in London. BS Stainless have been attending this event, which features seminars, recruitment expos, debates and exhibits, for many years. The two-day conference gave us the welcome chance to meet with many of our international customers from such diverse countries as Saudi Arabia, Korea, Australia and the USA as well as to network and create new trade links.
The London 2012 Olympics was a fantastic event, enjoyed by millions all over the world. Many BS Stainless products, including stainless steel strip coil, stainless steel sheet and welding wire, were used by the various construction companies involved in the daunting logistics of the global event. Catering equipment, turnstiles, fittings, machines ducting and architecture were just some of the many uses found for our superior-quality products, as well as a truly stunning nine-metre high stainless steel and glass sculpture spelling out the word 'RUN'. The sculpture was incredibly popular, particularly at night when LED lighting gave the transparent letters a mystical glow.
Looking to the future, we have already made plans to attend the Gastech 2014 conference which will be held in Seoul, South Korea. We also have exciting plans to move premises, more news of which is soon to follow. Above all, we aim to continue as always, providing a range of modern, versatile stainless steel products to a myriad of worldwide industries while keeping at the forefront of new developments and maintaining our customer-focused strategy.
BS Stainless will be closed for business from the 21st of December to the 2nd of January inclusive.
