Internal sales / account manager

We are looking for an outgoing individual, eager to learn, keen to develop their career with an expanding progressive company. Due to ongoing growth we are looking for an additional sales person.

We are a supplier and distributor of stainless steel with a national supply customer base. We offer a wide and diverse product range including wire,precision slit coil ,fasteners, plate, and processed blanks. With our emphasis on high well managed stock levels and our global supply base we have the resources to support your success.

Your role will be to achieve sales in line with agreed targets by managing and developing existing accounts and identifying opportunities to generate new sales and additional business. You will build and maintain strong relationships with customers, developing account strategies, anticipating needs and providing excellent customer service and support. You will be supported in developing your personal sales strategy, maintaining accurate customer records and monitoring and using sales data to assist business growth.

Sales experience in the stainless steel or metal stockholding industry would be an advantage or a background in steel fastener and fixing sales. We are looking for an individual who is hungry for success with no barriers to achievement. The role will be primarily office based but there will be the opportunity to visit customers when required.

The role will include the following responsibilities:

  • Identifying and calling potential and current customers
  • Converting leads into new business sales
  • Developing and managing new products
  • Building rapport and relationships with potential and existing customers

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Experience in a similar role in the metals industry or with and industrial sales background
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience of working to sales targets
  • The ability to stock manage for Accounts
  • An enthusiastic, highly motivated working attitude

You will need to fully understand the products and the market, being able to assist with stock levels, new product development, understand market prices and desired profit targets along with day to day running costs. Based in the North West of England at our Preston site.
