Gong Xi Fa Chai!

The track of the new moon changes from year to year and thus their New Year can begin anytime between late January and mid-February.

Each year they have an animal which is their sign for that year:

  • 2008 Animal Sign: Rat, February 7th
  • 2009 Animal Sign: Ox, January 26th
  • 2010 Animal Sign: Tiger, February 14th
  • 2011 Animal Sign: Rabbit, February 3rd
  • 2012 Animal Sign: Dragon, January 23rd
  • 2013 Animal Sign: Snake, February 10th
  • 2014 Animal Sign: Horse, January 31st
  • 2015 Animal Sign: Sheep, February 19th
  • 2016 Animal Sign: Monkey, February 8th
  • 2017 Animal Sign: Rooser, January 28th
  • 2018 Animal Sign: Dog, February 16th

BS Stainless would like to wish any of our Customers or suppliers celebrating the New Year a very happy one and all the best! In addition to this we would also like to raise awareness that it is over this period that we see a reduction in stainless steel manufacture. The traditional slowdown of stainless steel production is drawing near and that means shipping will be affected when dealing with China, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore and a number of others too.
