It is also strongly resistant to bacterial growth, making it the number-one choice for numerous applications in the catering, food-processing and medical industries. Stainless steel is also easily cleaned without the need for environmentally-damaging chemicals.

Bare stainless steel surfaces have a high solar reflective index. This means that, when used in construction applications, the metal helps to reflect and dissipate hear, lowering the need for air conditioning and reducing power consumption.
