Accessories or Ancillaries, form a valuable role in the performance of an insulation system and however good your system is if the ancillaries fail then eventually so will the entire system.
Our Insulation ancillaries include banding or strapping, fasteners, lacing wire, wing seals, toggles and springs tapes and adhesives. These items play a leading role in the performance of an insulation system.
Banding provides a means of securement on pipe and tanks without piercing the outer surface leading to moisture ingress. Widths range from 1/2 inch (12.7mm) to 3 inch (75mm) and a thickness of 0.015 inch (0.4mm) to 0.025 inch (0.6mm) or thicker and wider on request.
Expansion Springs; in order for banding to have free movement on hot vessels, expansion springs or Compression springs can be used often referred to as Mity Springs.
Screws are a popular method of securement when banding or strapping isn’t practical, they are generally quick and easy to use but it’s important that the correct quality is used. BS Stainless x-ray all screws prior to shipping to ensure the integrity of the material grade.
Wire that is soft annealed in order to allow for easy forming by hand and tying is widely used in both stainless steel and Galvanized steel. It can be used to support Glass fibre, mineral wool, perlite and many more insulation materials. Supplied in thickness range from 0.015 inch (0.4mm) up to 0.062 inch 1.6mm.
