Indinox 2015 - Stainless Steel a "Lasting Solution"

Indinox, the largest integrated stainless steel exhibition in the world, took place from 24th-27th January 2015 in Gujarat and was a huge success, with thousands of delegates arriving to visit over 1,000 stalls, stands and booths. The event was organised by ISDO (Indian Stainless Steel Development Organisation) and welcomed exhibitors and participants from every continent.

The first Indinox event was held in 2010 and has grown in scale each year. Along with the traditional main conference, Indinox 2015 played host to the world’s first stainless steel art festival before a special awards ceremony honoured major players in the stainless steel industry. The centenary of stainless steel played a big part in the celebrations.

The use of stainless steel in India is increasing; Anandiben Patel, Gujarat's Chief Minister, is keen to see this trend continue and called for the versatile metal to be used to beautify civic projects such as the Sabarmati Riverfront project and the Statue of Unity. Austin Lu, said, “ The Statue of Unity is presently designed to last for about 100 years while worldwide such projects are being designed to withstand the ravages of 1,000 years. It is stainless steel which can provide the lasting solution."
