Kashif Mohammad Accepted into GYEF

Since 2012, when he began working with us as the result of a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) project, Kashif Mohammad has been an active and valued member of the BS Stainless team linking up with Sheffield Hallam's Material and Engineering Research Institute (MERI). We are delighted to announce that Kashif has been selected as one of 80 successful applicants to the Gastech Young Engineer Foundation (GYEF) and will be joining BS Stainless in Singapore later this year at the Gastech Expo.

The GYEF was launched at Gastech 2014 in South Korea which BS Stainless attended and was an instant success. This year, hundreds of applications were received and, after much deliberation, GYEF’s advisory committee selected just 80 young engineers to participate. All participants receive free access to the Gastech Conference & Exhibition for the full four days it is open, an enviable prize worth over £3,000.

An initiative spearheaded and developed by Gastech, the GYEF is designed to offer support to the upcoming generation of modern engineers who are steadily moving the industry into the future. The organisation recognises the pressing requirement to attract fresh young talent, filling gaps in skills and increasing activities in markets from local to global. By supporting and strengthening the professional development of young engineers via a bespoke package of networking and educational opportunities, the GYEF seeks to equip tomorrow’s industry leaders with a solid foundation of knowledge and practical application.

Gastech 2015 in SIngapore will mark the 28th edition in the successful series of annual events, which grows bigger, bolder and more influential year on year since it began in London back in 1972. Organised ‘by the industry and for the industry’, the Gastech Expo allows thousands of professionals to meet, network and discuss new ideas and technological developments that will influence the future in powerful, groundbreaking ways.

Everyone at BS Stainless would like to offer massive congratulations to Kashif for this achievement. We are sure that his experience at Gastech 2015 in Singapore will further improve the consistent, reliable quality of his work with BS Stainless, which includes the design, development and optimisation of fixing systems and metal jacketing solutions designed to enhance the gas and oil industry.
